To feed the hungry, to add value to their life, and to improve our community by efficiently collecting and distributing food, through partner agencies.
OPERATIONS:
Community Food Bank, Inc. bears its own cost for running a not for profit business, with no government funding. We are deeply dependent on the contributions received from grants, foundations, and donors. The backbone of the Food Bank is you!
The daily operations consist of three steps: • Collecting food • Sorting & inventorying food • Distributing food
BACKGROUND:
The Loaves and Fishes - Metroplex Community Food Bank, Inc. is a 501(c)3 nonprofit that has been serving the Greater Fort Worth Community and Metroplex since 1982. Our warehouse facility has been sold, old debts have been paid and we are pleased to be opperating under new management.We have a new enthusiastic Executive Director, and a new active working Board of Directors. Fortunately, with the help of donations and volunteers, our fight against hunger battles on. Your help and financial support is still needed!
The food bank supplies food to several food pantries, nursing homes, other relief agencies, families and individuals.
