The Community Food Bank relies on donations to support our operations to provide food for the hungry. Our physical plant includes the maintenance of a 40,000 square-foot warehouse and a fleet of vehicles (including refrigerated trucks), forklifts, pallet jacks, etc. Our electricity bill exceeds $60,000 annually, primarily because of the size of our walk-in refrigerators and refrigerated space. In addition to operational needs, we also purchase food (meats) if needed.
The Community Food Bank uses those funds to buy and directly distribute food to people in need in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex. Every dollar given to the Community Food Bank makes a difference.
1. All donations are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
2. Donor lists are not sold, rented or shared with other organizations.
