At Community Food Bank, we are committed to providing our neighbors with the same high-quality groceries you would buy for your own family. Because we serve 500 families a day, we rely on professional-grade donations to keep our 42,000 square foot facility stocked with nutritious options.

Our Priority Needs

To maintain our standard of care, we specifically seek donations of:

  • Fresh or Frozen Meats: Chicken, beef, pork, and turkey.

  • Fresh Produce: Seasonal fruits and vegetables.

  • Dairy Products: Milk, cheese, and butter.

  • Pantry Staples: Canned proteins, pasta, rice, and cereal.

How to Donate

We accept donations at our Shipping & Receiving docks located at 3000 Galvez Ave.

  • Receiving Hours: Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

  • Large Deliveries: Our facility features four semi-truck bay doors for high-volume corporate donations.

  • Documentation: We provide tax-deductible receipts for all food donations upon request.

Organizing a Community Food Drive

If you’re looking to donate food in Tarrant County, hosting a food drive is a powerful way for your business, church, or school to make a local impact.

  • Pick Up or Drop Off: We can pick up large donations, or you can deliver directly to our warehouse.

  • Make It Fun: Themes like “Taco Tuesday” or “Cereal Sunday” help engage your group and fill our shelves with the items families love most.

  • No Zip Code Restrictions: Every pound you collect stays local to help anyone in need, regardless of where they live.

Please ensure items are not expired. A good rule of thumb is: Do not donate it if you would not eat it yourself. Help us protect the dignity and health of our community.

Information for Retailers and Distributors

We are a high-capacity partner for the food industry. If you are a retailer or distributor looking to reduce waste and support hunger relief in North Texas, we make the process seamless. Donate food in Tarrant County to Community Food Bank!

  • Semi Truck Access: We have four semi truck bay doors and the professional equipment needed to unload large scale donations quickly.

  • Flexible Hours: We accept food and non-food (OS&D) donations during business hours and can arrange after-hours or weekend drop-offs.

  • Logistics Excellence: Our “Dock to Door” model means your surplus reaches families faster than through traditional warehouse hubs.

Semi Trucks: From 4th Street, turn south on Retta Road and go to the gate on the West side of the CFB building. DO NOT TURN ON CHANDLER.

Community Food Bank is thankful for donations from retailers and distributors. Your gifts keep food out of landfills and help feed this community.

Delivery or Pick Up?

For deliveries, we have 4 semi truck bay doors and the equipment to unload your donations.

We also have trucks and staff who can come pick up if arranged.

Business Hours

CFB’s normal business hours are M-F, 8:30am to 5pm.

For business hours deliveries, call Gina at 817-924-3333 x111 and let us know you are coming so that we can arrange to have an open dock bay for you when you arrive.

After Hours

Retailers and distributors may schedule after hour deliveries.

We accept food and non-food (OS&D) donations after hours and on weekends.
