Donating Food

Community Food Bank relies on donations of food from groups, individuals, and retailers/distributors.

CFB can accept non-expired shelf-stable dry goods (i.e. oatmeal, cereal, rice), canned goods, fresh fruit and vegetables, dairy products, and frozen foods.

What to Give

CFB’s most-needed items include:

  • Can Meats/Vegetables
  • Pasta/Beans/Rice
  • Peanut Butter/Jelly
  • Kid related snacks or food
  • Hot/Cold Cereal
  • Coffee/Tea/ Water
  • Fruit Rolls or Diced Fruit Cups

Please ensure items are not expired. A good rule of thumb is: Do not donate it if you would not eat it yourself. Help us protect the dignity and health of our community.

Make It Fun!

Having a food drive? Think of a theme, for example Walk-A-Mile, Tasty Tuesday, or “Mexican food” Monday would be a great way to spice-up your food drive. Or pit your group against one another! Which class, team, or department can collect the most food?

Retail/Distributors/Drivers

Semi Trucks: From 4th Street, turn south on Retta Road and go to the gate on the West side of the CFB building. DO NOT TURN ON CHANDLER.  

Camiones semi: Desde la calle 4th, gira hacia el sur en Retta Road y ve hasta la puerta en el lado oeste del edificio del CFB. NO GIRE EN CHANDLER.

Community Food Bank is thankful for donations from retailers and distributors. Your gifts keep food out of landfills and help feed this community.

Delivery or Pick Up?

For deliveries, we have 4 semi truck bay doors and the equipment to unload your donations.

We also have trucks and staff who can come pick up if arranged.

Business Hours

CFB’s normal business hours are M-F, 8:30am to 5pm.

For business hours deliveries, call 817-924-3333 and let us know you are coming so that we can arrange to have an open dock bay for you when you arrive.

After Hours

Retailers and distributors may schedule after hour deliveries.

We accept food and non-food (OS&D) donations after hours and on weekends.
